Eslam Salah El Dessouky
Mr. Eslam El Dessouki is a Partner at the Firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property Departments. Mr. El Dessouki specializes in labour law. He handles individual and collective labour disputes, collective employment bargaining, drafting employment agreements. As a specialist in employment matters, he regularly advises the Firm’s clients on employment and labour law related inquiries. He is experienced in prosecuting labour cases before Egyptian courts, amicable settlements of all types of individual and collective employment disputes.
During the period from 2002 till 2016, Mr. El Dessouki has advised some of the Firm’s representative Clients such as BG services, Schlumberger, WesternGeco, Ferrometaleco, 6th of October Company for Agricultural Projects, Al Tadamun Microfinance Program of the Women’s Health Improvement Association (WHIA). Moreover, since 2010, Mr. El Dessouki continued to work on employment matters, closely with some of the Firm’s major corporate clients including: Total Egypt, Apache, the Egyptian Mud Engineering and Chemicals Company, Taqa Group, Taqa Global, PowerTek Group (Egyptian Operating Company S.A.E, Port Said Power, Sidi Krir Power), Egyptian Methanex Methanol Co S.A.E (E-Methanex), Suez Canal Container Terminals (SCCT), Alexandria Tire Co – Pirelli, Suez Cement Group (Suez Cement, Torrah Portland Cement, Helwan Cement Company), Assiut Cement Co-CEMEX, Titan Cement Group (Alexandria Cement Company, Beni Suef Cement Company), Egyptian Glass Company (Guardian Industries), IBM- Egypt Branch, Orange, General Motors Egypt, Ghabour Auto Group, Blom Bank, HSBC Egypt, Standard Chartered Bank of London, SGB Egypt for Scaffolding and Formwork S.A.E (formerly Harsco Egypt for Scaffolding and Formwork), Al Tadamun Microfinance Foundation, and WHIA.
Mr. El Dessouki is also experienced in intellectual property law, registration of trademarks, industrial designs, computer program patents and other intellectual property rights related matters. Further, Mr. El Dessouki has a vast experience in conducting legal due diligence on companies in Egypt, and he works on privatization as well as capital market law related matters. He drafts on a day to day basis legal opinions and agreements in a number of legal fields.
Mr. El Dessouki obtained his LLB from Zakazik University, Banha, and he has been a practicing lawyer since the year 2000. He is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association, and his working language is Arabic.
