Counsel
Omar Abdel Aziz is a Counsel with the Firm’s Arbitration Group. His professional experience involves working on complex disputes and transactions involving oil and gas and construction disputes. He advises the Firm’s Clients on several matters under Egyptian law and private international law, in addition to matters involving transnational and cross-border aspects. Moreover, he is involved in prosecuting institutional, and ad-hoc arbitral proceedings.
Omar Abdel Aziz obtained; LLB with distinction first class honors in 2007 and LLM in Comparative Private Law with distinction first class honours in 2010 from Cairo University, LLM in Legislative Drafting Studies (Common Law and European law Directions) with distinction, Master of Philosophy (MPhil degree) and his PhD Degree in Comparative European Contract Law from the University of London.
Omar Abdel Aziz is Assistant Lecturer, Civil Law Department (Cairo University).
Furthermore, he is skilled in legal research and has notable expertise on civil and commercial law issues in the MENA region as well as European private law.
