Advising leading international banks in relation to Repurchase Transactions under Global Master Repurchase Agreement entered into with Egyptian Banks; Total Return Swaps Transactions under the ISDA Agreement and various derivatives transactions from an Egyptian law perspective; repayment & release of securities;  novation under GMRA concluded between Syndicate of Banks and Central Bank of Egypt; changes in LIBOR worldwide from an Egyptian law perspective; and advice on the enforceability of Repo-TRS Transactions under GMRA and ISDA Agreements with Egyptian Banks.

Zulficar & Partners’ Banking & Finance Group also advises on matters pertaining to Egyptian banking law, Central Bank of Egypt regulations, Investment law, and cross-border banking activities. We draft and update banks’ standard forms and Islamic finance agreements in accordance with Egyptian banking law, the Central Bank of Egypt’s regulations, and the internal regulations of each bank. We draft and negotiate restructuring, settlement, and rescheduling of debts and resolve disputes related to default payments of debtors either amicably or ultimately through legal action on behalf of our clients. We advise, establish and license financial institutions and non-banking financial activities namely financial leasing, factoring, consumer finance, microfinance, and mortgage finance companies, and draft all the relevant agreements and documentation.
